Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Santa Ana will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 9 am–2:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (714) 835-3878. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thesandwichsociety.com.

Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Ana follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Traveled from Idaho and found a sandwich that I wish I could get weekly. The Bahn Mi was delicious. I tried a bite of the grilled cheese after finding out that the bread its on is homemade daily and loved the texture!

This place is down the street from where I work. Colleagues of mine thought we’d try to see how it is. The lady Nadine, I believe she’s the owner super sweet. When we first got there, they had a taste testing of her homemade salt bread. Little on the pricey side, but let me just tell you it’s Divine. I’ve tried a few things here and I’ve not been disappointed. Definitely recommend.

Nestled in a little strip mall, it’s a society you want to be involved in. I had to leave a review because this was the second time in a week we’ve come to visit. The first time we came we had the garlic shaken beef sandwich and the braised pork belly sandwich. The proteins were both very flavorful and the bread was cooked just right! This time around we got the bulgogi cheesesteak and the chicken pesto, BOTH amazing. The bulgogi kimchi cheesesteak right out the kitchen had all the flavor profiles mixing just right. The chicken pesto wasn’t something to scoff at neither. The meat was flavorful AND juicy, I hadn’t had good chicken out at restaurants in a long time. Believe me when I say we’re sandwich converts for Sandwich Society! Let’s go!!

The sandwiches are really good, and the burritos are solid too. What stood out for me was the burrito hot sauce. The spice level is a perfect balance, with enough heat to be noticeable without overpowering the flavor. It also has a natural, slightly textured consistency that tastes genuinely homemade. Everything feels fresh, well prepared, and made with care. Attached is a photo of the sandwich, I ate the burrito too quickly and forgot to capture a picture.
